Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s Party won a resounding electoral victory on October 15, 2017. The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) won victories across 17 states of Venezuela, garnering 54 % of the total vote of 9.7 million votes. These comprised 61.4% of the eligible voters. The opposition Democratic Unity Table (MUD) got 45 % of the vote.

Of the 23 state governorships, the opposition won only 5. Even historically pro-opposition states like Lara, Miranda and Amazonas were won by the PSUV.

The results were announced by the head of the National Electoral Assembly (CNE) Tibisay Lucena.

Despite the attacks and sanctions by US President Donald Trump and his anti-Chavez and anti-Maduro cohorts, the Venezuelan people inspired by Comandante Hugo Chavez and the Great Liberator Simon Bolivar, and led by President Nicolas Maduro, decisively voted for sovereignty. democracy and peace.

The social programs of Chavez and Maduro proved in practice the government’s service to the people. More than 1.7 million homes were built for the poor. More than 500,000 homes of those living in the mountains were strengthened. The target is to build 3 million homes within the next year. The Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) provide food and other necessities to wide sections of the population. Health and education services are given free.

We have been privileged to witness these wide-ranging pro-people programs and experience the militant support and enthusiasm of the people.

We warmly congratulate the Venezuelan people and the Borivarian Republic of Venezuela led by President Nicolas Maduro for their resounding electoral victory!

Viva Chavez! Viva Maduro! Viva el pueblo heroico Venezolano!
Viva la Republica Bolivariana de Venezuela!
Viva la solidaridad entr el pueblo Venezolano y el pueblo Filipino!
