The police and armed forces (of the Aquino government) issued a false statement in saying that Victoriano Dimco, whom they captured on 5 September 2014 in Barangay (village) Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City, is an active member of the New People’s Army in North Central Mindanao. This is merely a desperate move on the part of the Aquino regime to save face amidst offensive actions of the NPA in the region.

AFP “promoting” ex-NPA to bag reward money — CPP

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today charged the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) of making false claims about the arrest of a top Party leader in order to pocket millions of pesos from the anomalous reward money system of the Aquino regime.

The CPP statement was in reaction to the arrest last Tuesday of Eduardo Almores Esteban in Jaro, Iloilo whom the AFP claims to be a former secretary of the CPP Ilocos-Cordillera Regional Committee and head of the so-called Communications Bureau of the CPP. The AFP said there is a PhP5.8 million (US$132,000) reward for Esteban’s arrest.

“Aquino’s state of the nation address was built on a foundation of lies,” said the CPP. “It painted a picture of progress and hope to conceal the reality of rapidly deteriorating conditions that impose heavier socio-economic burdens on the broad masses of the Filipino people,” said the CPP.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today disputed claims by the Aquino regime that the Filipino people benefited from the diversion of funds under Malacañang’s Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) and dismissed such as vain attempts to justify the Aquino regime’s anomalous realignment of as much as PhP177 billion (US$4.1 billion) in public funds.

The CPP pointed out that Aquino’s disbursement of funds under the DAP did not help resolve the Filipino people’s outstanding problems of unemployment, low wages, landlessness, homelessness, poverty and rising prices which have continued to worsen under the Aquino regime.

Aquino clique earning billions from rice importation amid soaring prices

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today condemned the ruling Aquino regime and its slew of corrupt bureacuratic officials for pocketing billions of pesos in overpriced rice importation contracts, amid its failure to address the continuing rise in the price of rice that has resulted in grave hardships for the people.

The CPP called on the Filipino people to hold the Aquino regime responsible for entering into anomalous rice importation contracts while failing to extend substantial support to the peasant masses to help increase domestic rice production.
