Aquino’s brutal war against BIFF, intensified Mindanao war campaign must be opposed and condemned

By JORGE MADLOS (Ka Oris)
Spokesperson, NDFP Mindanao

In the aftermath of the botched US-directed attack on Mamasapano, the Aquino III regime has launched a full-blown military offensive, covering 11 municipalities of Maguindanao and North Cotabato, against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement–Bangsamoro Freedom Fighters (BIFM-BIFF). In Sulu, since last November 2014 until recently, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, with the aid of the US, has launched no less brutal anti-Moro attacks in the guise of stamping out terrorism in the region, victimizing not the “terrorists” but the civilian Moro populace. These all-out attacks are at the behest of the US “war on terror”.

US, Malacañang should answer for Mamasapano Disaster — NDFP peace consultants

By Detained NDFP Consultants
Submitted 30 January 2015

Benigno S. Aquino III has been, as usual, very glib (but obviously very evasive) in trying hard to explain the mystery of where the command and responsibility were for the operations of the Special Action Force (SAF) contingent that terribly failed and suffered a big number of its casualties (44 SAF forces killed) in its Mamasapano, Maguindanao operations last January 25. Twelve more SAF forces were wounded in action.

On the GPH-MILF peace process

Founding Chairman, Communist Party of the Philippines

1. From a previous position of exercising the right to national self-determination, to the extent of fighting to secede from the Philippine state, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has surrendered itself to the sovereignty, constitution and constitutional processes of said state and has opted for regional autonomy under the Philippine state. Is that true?

Jose Maria Sison (JMS): The leaders of the MILF themselves have confirmed the fact by their own words and deeds. The Bangsamoro Basic Law and all the agreements and annexes covered by the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) and Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) are subject to the 1987 Constitution and constitutional processes of the Philippine state. The Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GPH) has publicly assured the MILF that the Philippine constitution can accommodate the Bangsamoro Basic Law and the Bangsamoro political entity without resorting to constitutional amendment.

Final signing of the MILF-GRP Peace Pact, bane to the Moro struggle for their right to self-determination

By JORGE MADLOS (Ka Oris)
Spokesperson, NDFP Mindanao Chapter

In the midst of an expected euphoric atmosphere, the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) between the GPH (Government of the Republic of the Philippines) and the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) will be signed today. But it would be foolhardy to conclude that this final signing will usher the decades-old armed Moro conflict in Mindanao nearer to a truly peaceful end.

Conclusion of MILF-GPH talks does not spell the end of Moro revolutionary struggle — NDFP

By JORGE MADLOS (Ka Oris)
Spokesperson, NDFP Mindanao Chapter

Amid the euphoria on the recent signing of the so-called Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines – Mindanao Chapter cautions all stakeholders in the Moro struggle not to lose sight on the fundamental causes of the problems that saddle the Moro people. This is crucial because, no matter what agreement is forged, if feudal and semi-feudal bondage imposed upon the Moro people by the local ruling classes and their imperialist masters remain, no significant change is forthcoming. Without revolutionary change, their aspirations for a real autonomy remain elusive, including the problem of chauvinism against the Moro people.
