NPA orders assistance to rescue personnel injured in Bansalan tactical offensive

The New People’s Army Southern Mindanao Regional Command issues this apology for launching a counter-offensive ambush against the 39th Infantry Battalion on 2 March 2014 at 7:00 pm that hit an ambulance and injured four rescuers in Barangay (village) Managa, Bansalan, Davao del Sur. We express our deep regret and commiserate with the victims from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, namely Genaro Doronio Dumayas (driver), Bonita dela Cruz (nurse), Arnel Comandante Veloroso and Alberto Simbajon Cabual.

In May 1999, the NDFP International Information Office in Utrecht, The Netherlands, published an 85-page pamphlet entitled NDFP Adherence to International Humanitarian Law on Prisoners of War. It consisted of statements and documents on the capture, investigation and release of members of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) security forces, namely, Philippine Army (PA) Brigadier General Victor Obillo, PA Capt. Eduardo Montealto, Philippine National Police (PNP) Major Roberto Bernal and PA Sergeants Alipio Lozada and Wivino Demol – all prisoners of war (POWs) of the New People’s Army (NPA) held in different parts of the country in the first quarter of 1999.
