Mindanao is priority target of fascist US-Aquino Regime’s counter-revolutionary offensives

By JORGE MADLOS (Ka Oris)
Spokesperson, NDFP Mindanao Chapter

At the end of its term, the fascist US-Aquino regime, through its Oplan Bayanihan (OPB counter-insurgency program), has unleashed a counter-revolutionary offensive of massive proportions against the revolutionary movement and the Filipino people, desperately aiming to once and for all defeat the people’s revolutionary struggle. The priority target of the brutal OPB campaign is the island of Mindanao, even as it continues to launch its widespread suppression campaign in Luzon and in the Visayas.

It is definite: Release of 4 POWs is cancelled

By JORGE MADLOS (Ka Oris)
Spokesperson, NDFP-Mindanao

After a series of negotiations, we have come to a conclusion that the position of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines-Mindanao and that of the “crisis” committee of the local government on the issue of the length of time and the areas covered by the local ceasefire is irreconcilable, which, therefore, makes the supposed release of the four prisoners of war (POWs) impossible. Thus, we are cancelling the release of the four POWs set on 25 July.
