Aquino lacks sincerity in peace negotiations and has wantonly violated existing agreements

By Prof. JOSE MARIA SISON
NDFP Chief Political Consultant
in Peace Negotiations with the GPH/GRP

The recent statement of BS Aquino III to Radyo Bombo and published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer attacking the National Democratic Front of the Philippines and seeking to impose on the NDFP his one-sided views has upset efforts to pave the way for the resumption of the GPH-NDFP peace negotiations.

It is Aquino who lacks sincerity in peace negotiations between the GPH* and NDFP.

The truth about the inutile Sagada “Peace Zone”

By MAGNO UDYAW
Spokesperson, NPA Leonardo Pacsi Command
NPA Mountain Province Provincial Operations Command

Let us set the record straight: The legitimate demand of the people of Sagada in the closing period of 1988 for the pullout of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police combat troops was clearly due to the virtual siege of Sagada by the combined troops of the 50th Infantry Batallion, 3rd Special Forces Batallion, and the PNP Regional Special Action Force (RSAF). These units occupied the municipal building, the Sagada Central School, sacred grounds (“papatayan”), the Calvary compound, the dap-ays, and several mountains within central Sagada, including Mt. Lallal-ay, Mt. Kiltepan and Mt. Maaney.

NDFP proposes people’s issues for peace talks, demands compliance with JASIG, other agreements

By LUIS G. JALANDONI
Chairperson, NDFP Negotiating Panel
Member, NDFP National Executive Committee

Secretary Deles wishes to avoid the Aquino regime’s obligation to comply with binding peace agreements which the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP/GPH) signed with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP). Her lame excuse is to call compliance with the 1995 Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG) as mere “procedural matters”.

Deles attack against NDFP is an outright and gross lie

By Prof. JOSE MARIA SISON
NDFP Chief Political Consultant

Secretary Teresita Q. Deles of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) has repeatedly attacked The Hague Joint Declaration as a “document of perpetual division”, and has obscured the fact that the declaration stipulates the 4-point substantive agenda, the first point of which has already resulted in the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL). Deles has publicly dismissed this major agreement as a minor thing.

On the false Allegations of Alex Padilla and intrigues of the Aquino regime

By LUIS G. JALANDONI
Chairperson, NDFP Negotiating Panel

Alex Padilla’s allegation that the Negotiating Panel of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines proposed informal talks with the Aquino government only after the arrest of the Tiamzons is completely untrue and malicious. He knows that in our meeting in Makati on 27 February 2014, weeks before the arrest of the Tiamzons, we already stated our willingness to agree with the proposal of the Royal Norwegian Government to hold informal talks or consultations with the Aquino government in May 2014.

Aquino risks leaving legacy of killing peace talks – NDFP

By LUIS G. JALANDONI
Chairperson, NDFP Negotiating Panel

The Royal Norwegian Government (RNG) and peace advocates declare support for the willingness of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) to hold informal peace talks with the Aquino government (GPH). But GPH President Aquino runs the risk of destroying chances for a negotiated peace with the NDFP by certain actions of his in violation of the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL).
